Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the SeedCents app for iPhone and iPad (the “app”) and the website seedcents.com (the “website”) do with information. In short: the app does not collect your information.
1. What the app does with your information
Information you enter
The things you add to SeedCents, such as income, spending, categories, bills, savings funds, debts, goals, notes and your name, are stored only on your device in the app's private storage. We do not receive them and have no access to them.
Information we do not collect
The app does not collect personal information, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, usage or analytics data, location, contacts, photos or crash reports. It contains no third-party software development kits (SDKs) for analytics, advertising or tracking.
Network activity
Apart from the optional purchase described below, the app does not send or receive data over the internet. Tapping a link to this website opens it in your web browser; see section 5.
Purchases
SeedCents Pro is an optional one-time purchase made through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and keeps your purchase history under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details, name or Apple Account information; the app only learns, on your device, whether Pro is unlocked.
2. Permissions
- Notifications (optional). If you turn on bill reminders, iOS asks for your permission. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. They do not use a push server, and we never see them. You can switch them off in the app or in iOS Settings at any time.
- Files (only when you import). When you import a backup, iOS lets you pick a file. The app reads only the file you choose.
3. Backups and sharing
Exports. You can export a backup file from Settings. It contains everything in the app and goes wherever you send it using the iOS share sheet. We never receive it. The file is not encrypted by the app, so treat it like any other financial document.
Device backups. Depending on your Apple settings, iOS may include the app's data in an iCloud or computer backup of your device. That is handled by Apple under its own privacy policy, and we do not control or see it.
4. Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your device until you remove it. To delete it, open Settings in the app and choose Delete all data, or delete the app. Copies you exported yourself, or that exist in your own device backups, remain until you delete them.
5. This website
The website uses no cookies, analytics, advertising, social-media widgets or third-party fonts or scripts. Like most web hosts, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time) to deliver and secure the site. We do not use those logs to identify visitors.
6. When you contact us
If you email support@seedcents.com, we receive your email address and whatever you send. We use it only to reply and to improve the app, we do not sell or share it, and we keep it only as long as needed to help you. We will never ask for your passwords or bank details, so please do not send them.
7. Children
SeedCents is a general-audience tool and is not directed to children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
8. Your rights
Because we do not hold your app data, there is nothing on our side to access, correct or delete. Depending on where you live, you may have rights over any email you have sent us; contact us and we will help.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how your information is handled, we will also note it in the app's release notes.
